Review: LUSH Sandstone soap

Sunday, February 1, 2015

I'm in need for some serious R&R. I spent my week and most of my weekend in bed. Although, I did manage to get in some gym time. I'm pretty proud of myself for that. I even managed to make myself a nutritious breakfast. We have to take care of ourselves, otherwise who else will do it? :)

Well, with me being sick and all, bath time is such a huge relaxer. One of the products I've been using for my spa time is Lush's soap in Sandstone. Yup, sand. I just want to say this first, this soap smells sooooo good! It has a citrus scent and whenever I smell it, I feel like I'm a beach somewhere smelling this soap. I feel extremely stress-free and relaxed. It just sends me into vacation mode. Not sure why I associate it with a beach because it has a really strong citrus scent. Oh wait, the sand hahahaha HELLO, someone just had a blonde moment.

According to the LUSH website, this soap was inspired by the Brazilian babes who mixed sand and tanning oil to get their backsides smooth…whoa, do they know something we don't? Is this how they get such glowing skin? Hmm…I almost want to try this for when I go to Miami…

Sandstone is actually a really rough soap. I mean…it is sand! It's really hard for me to use this all over my body. My arms and legs can't really candle the scrubbing. I do like using it on my back and neck. If you have really sensitive skin and don't like rough scrubs, this soap is probably not for you.

Here is the list of ingredients in this (vegan) soap:
Water (Aqua) , Sand , Glycerine , Rapeseed Oil ,Coconut Oil (Brassica napus; Cocos nucifera) , Sodium Hydroxide , Sodium Stearate , Fragrance , Litsea Cubeba Oil , Coriander Oil (Coriandrum sativum) ,Sodium Chloride , Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides) , EDTA , Tetrasodium Etidronate , *Citral ,*Geraniol , *Limonene , *Linalool , Hydroxycitronellol
