I love my L'OREAL true match foundation. It has been my holy grail for years now. I've even gotten a few of my friends on it, but recently I wanted to find a more full coverage makeup. That meant I had to begin my journey on finding the right shade of foundations for my skin. It isn't easy, even when the girls over the counter try and match you, they don't always get it right. It's a lot of trial and error. I tried searching online for girls with my same skin tone, but found it extremely difficult. I used a website called foundation.com to help point me to the right direction when buying a new foundation. It helped, but it wasn't 100% also. It was pretty close though! Here are two foundations I bought and tried:
First up, Mac NC30 in Studio Fix Fluid. The girl over the counter matched me to this, but it is a little bit dark for me. I wasn't too opposed to it though because I tan really easily in the summer and I didn't have a summer foundation yet. I also like to contour with foundation rather than with powders. I love how full coverage this foundation is, but I wish it wasn't so chalky. It could just be because it's a matt foundation.
Next, I wanted to try RCMA makeup because I've heard such good things about it, and I really wanted to use a cream makeup. The makeup I bought from RCMA came with four different shades. KO-2 seemed to match my L'OREAL W4 pretty close. Instead of using this as a foundation, I use this to conceal since I love liquid foundations better.
I'm still trying out more foundation brands and shades to see which ones best match with me, but I am keeping these foundations to keep up with my summer to winter shades.
Are you the same shade as me? Have you tried Findation.com? Have a blog? Let me know in the comments below!
Until next time!
